Last one for 2024

I thought I was done buying guns for 2024…then Ruger dropped their RXM, a vendor had like-new cop trade-in G17’s for $300 ea, and then I decided to promise myself only One. More. Gun. for 2024. It’ll be here late next week.

Self-discipline is so very not my strong point.

  1. Following. I failed the self discipline goals regarding gun buying oftentimes myself. It is not an insurmountable thing to over come, as at least you will have an inventory to show for it. Rather than just being broke and jonesing for a fix of some other addiction out there. Take a hobby break from that aquisition sport for a while and just focus on another objective with that same zest and zeal. Maybe focus back on real estate and relocating to a non shithole locale and location that is not a tactical endangerment to you will provide a catharsis for not having a new gun to fondle every week or so. Stay flexible on things helps staying frosty out there.

    • Merciful Crom, no….I’m way out of room for storing guns to begin with. Sometimes I’m amazed the floor supports all the weight.

  2. You can never have to many guns. To many is never enough. So if you can afford them. Buy away. The nice things about firearms is they are a great investment.
Everything I have bought over the years has in many cases increased in value. In some cases they are worth 5 times more then what I paid for them.

    • Yeah, I think of some of the stuff I used to own that has gone up in value and I almost wanna cry…most notably my HK93 back in the 80’s.

        • I used to console myself by telling myself that the gun will always be there, it’ll just cost more later. And thats quite true….I can get back that HK93 if I really want to…it’ll just cost me more than I originally paid…but it IS available. That sort of thinking takes the sting out of it sometimes.
