From my POV the clowns in DC have forced Putin’s hands and we the people are about to relearn what war in our neighborhood is all about.
I’m reviewing nuclear targets nearby and upwind, myself.
If their ICBMs and SLBMs are as effective and reliable as their weapon have been in Ukraine, I think the Russian have more to worry about with them going off while still in the silos or sub tubs, or not launching at all. However, lets hope and pray we do not have to find out.
I’ve heard a lot of wish casting about this. The Maypop syndrome is strong on the internet.
You know that old saying people do best that the boss checks?
Pencil whipping an army happens everywhere. In my 20 + in the US Army it was so often enough.
That was why we did so much intensive training just before each deployment. If we were “truly ready for war” it would have been load up on the C5 galaxy and go.
Putin is many things but not an idiot. I am damn sure his nuclear forces and Dead Man system is quite functional. He is often pictured actually inspecting their nuclear systems for the past two decades. You can pencil whip some things, but I’d not bet about his nukes.
Aside from that just how many nuclear weapons NEED to work well to ruin your day? Just saying.
Putin is not the only one who can ruin the day. The US has the capacity to do this as well. What some do not understand is that weapons grade uranium will degrade over about 25-year time period to a level it will not initiate a nuclear detonation. So, if you do not have a program that replaces the uranium, then at the end of the day, all you have is a dirty bomb. Lets just hope he is not suicidal and still has a sense of self-preservation. Until than I am good with bleeding the Russian bear in Ukraine by a thousand cuts.
Something to read and maybe comment about.
