So these arrived today:

Ruger Mini-14 factory 20-rd mags…marked ‘BLEMISH’. I think that means it was for the Blem military.

Price? $19.99 ea for a Ruger steel factory mag. w00t.

I know, I know…why didn’t I pass this on to you guys? Easy…about a half hour after I ordered…OOS. (Out of stock). Right place, right time.

(I swear, every single time I play with Mini-14 folder or the mags I wind up whistling the A-team them. Every. Single. Time. And I’m not even aware Im doing it! Curse you, Cannell!)

  1. Damn, I wish I had your budget. $500 scopes last week, $200-worth of magazines this week.

    • Probably because as an older man, he had practised “prepping” over a lifetime. Having everything paid off and stocked supies frees up money for other things. And yes, I am struggling as a late starter, but happy Commander and others can do it.

        But, some truth in that…no car payment, no house payment, no student loan payment, no credit card payment. Frees up a little cash.

        • No worries Commander! I am almost 62, and only been doing this for a couple of years, with a very reluctance spouse. One of the good things is my new relocation put me West of the Mississip. We are close to our like minded friends, and I have a place to go, if/when needed. Only a house payment for us.

  3. The Blemish military has really lax standards on what they’ll accept. No QA standards at all.

  4. I bought out a reloading room from a widow, (I paid too much out of respect), and ended up with a bunch of those in an ammo can. Still in packaging.
    Don’t have a mini, and don’t want one. (Tho my LGS has an AC556 for 12g that’s tempting).
    I’d give them away or trade them but nobody I know owns a mini.

    • I have 2 mini-14s including a factory original folder (i got both in the 80s), but I don’t have the luck (or the finances) of our Wing Commander. I don’t have much to trade, but would be willing to pay a reasonable sum.

  6. That is a good find. I actually just finished up my Mini project. I put a new FDE Hogue Stock, giving a try of the VISM red dot with solar capability. I got it for free and so far pretty impressed by it. I have 20 mags for and all of them are good to go. Also ran some of the Tapco Gen 2s and no issues. Another tool in the box.
