I think I must be sleepwalking or something because I have no recollection of bidding on GunBroker for this thing.
On the other hand, if I was, in fact, sleepwalking my way into Gun Broker at least I maintained the presence of mind to not bid more than $150. Whats really interesting is that I have a line on an old-style Ruger PC9 carbine in 9mm that someone wants $375 for. Now, I already have two of those but both cost me significantly more than $375. And since I now have…uhm…:::checks spreadsheet::: fourteen (WTH!) of these P95’s sitting here, another PC9 to go with them seems reasonable. Kinda.
I still need to get the new model PC9 that takes Glock magazines though.
But, that’s going to have to wait because there’s another Ruger showing up on the doorstep this week that is going to set me back on gun acquisitions for a while.
I might suggest that we are approaching an Intervention, but you all might pull one on me too.
“I still need to get the new model PC9 that takes Glock magazines though.”
Recommend waiting for later in the year. We’ve got 6 more years of ‘Trump slump’, plus the current PC9 model will likely drop in price when Ruger releases a probable upgrade before Shot Show.
That level of confidence that you have about Trump getting re-elected is the same level of confidence that people had that Hillary was going to win.
Maybe Trump will get re-elected. But you dont KNOW that’ll happen. There’s still an element of uncertainty and because of that Im not willing to risk it. I hope Trump gets re-elected but I cannot fool myself into thinking its a ‘sure thing’ and risk opportunities.
This is the correct attitude.
“Hope for the best (or at least the ‘not worst’) and prepare for the worst.
If Trump isn’t re-elected, it will mean that some loony raving anti-Second Amendment Democrat — there is no other sort at present — has won the White House, and its fellow travelers have won the House and Senate.
2008 all over again. Only this time the Democrats won’t be distracted by a shite economy, and will have spent years advocating extremist gun control. An electoral win will “be a mandate from America.”
They will be enacting all of the lunacy they’ve been talking since before Trump’s election. And they will have the votes to achieve it.
CZ, for your PC9 would you think about two or more of those 50 rd Glock compatable drums for said carbine? I can’t help but think that the Ruger carbine with a decent Red dot, said 50 rd drum and a hush hush cylinder on the front would would make quite the nice urban carbine.
Nope. The problem with those pistol drum mags is that their lollipop shape makes them extremely awkward. On the other hand, BetaMag mags a 100-rd 9mm double drum that might be interesting. It’s design puts the weight and bulk next to the mag well rather than hanging from the bottom of it. But…I think I’d get along just fine with a few of the 33-rd Glock (or Magpul 27-rd) happysticks.
Plus it’ll look like a modern-day ППШ-43!
Onward, comrades!!
I’ve been a fan of pistol and carbine pairings for quite a while. I have paired most of my pistol calibers including 44mag, 357mag and 45 Colt (all Lever guns of course) The advantages are obvious and out to 100yds lethal. The ability to take multiple mags like the Ruger does makes it very versatile. The JR Carbines also have that feature. TTFN
I recommend the current PC9.
It’s fun, too.

Great range report – gotta get me one of those!
Love my new PC9. However Ruger just introduced the PC in 40 (which they said they were not going to do!). And after I sold my Glock 23! Oh well, the 9mm will do just fine.
