Someone, I cant remember who, asked me about three-point slings. The girlfriend was nice enough to get me a very nice one for my AR15A2 a couple years ago and I’ve been pleased enough with it to recommend it. The sling was from CQB Solutions which has changed its name to Specter.
I’ve ordered another sling for use with my HKlone and should probably get another for the Bushie Dissipator carbine I picked up a few months back.
By the by, theres a very nice illustrated tutorial on the various ways to use a three-point sling. I think most of you might find it interesting.
That would be my approach, too. You can never have too much raw webbing and fastex fittings for making special stuff 😉
I ran a 3 point sling for years and found them to be problematic when used for more than posing for pictures. Went to a 2 point(not a parade sling) rigged in a similar fashion which was a vast improvement. There are a few adjustable 2 points out now that are even better.
specter gear
in the heirarchy or gear, if I need it and specter makes it I get it from them. If they don’t make it then Eagle, then I start shopping everyone else and hope somebody beside blackhawk makes it. (Blakhawk has become and ugly behemouth, kinda like nike)
Re: specter gear
I genuinely think Blackhawks major customer base isnt the military but rather Hollymood propdepartments.
Re: specter gear
you may be right about that!!!!
Re: specter gear
Blackhawk has two production areas. One in the US for mil and .gov stuff, one overseas for the rest. Their niche is they can produce the numbers in a short time frame. As for quality, some of it is good, others……
I prefer Eagle.
