The other day, in a local shop, GF asks what kind of ammo she needs for ‘That pistol she likes’. “Which one is that?” I ask. “You like them all”. She says “That really accurate one, the revolver….”. “Oh, the model 17? That’s just .22. Any decent brand will be fine. Anything but Remington. Why? I have a bunch…. like….. a lot. We are good on .22”.
“I want my own. I’m tired of shooting your ammo”.
She’s a keeper, no?
You make me feel like a piker at only 25K rounds of .22.
That should keep the brass flying – happy shooting !!
picture of lifetime of 22 brings tears to my eyes…. no, I no prep like that brah. I ashamed.
That is in no way a “lifetime” of 22.
Yep, when I was a kid, Dad, my brother and I would burn a brick (500 rds.) in an afternoon, plinking like crazy. Fun as hell and a brick at the time only went for $4 – $5 bucks for Winchester Wildcat. This occurred at least twice a month.
When ‘Ammogeddon’ occurred much later, no way could I afford to do that – a brick (if could be found to buy) was at least $60 – $70 for same amount. Its moderated a bit, but not anywhere near what it used to cost. Few things are I guess.
*jealous*
Wish a deal like that would pop up that non-dealers could use
Surely you must know a dealer somewhere who would do that for you……….
I used to.
He sold his FFL and immigrated to the US.
There aren’t a lot of gun stores here in Southern California.
