Properly outfitted, and assuming it can be accessed when needed, this would make a great little fort for riding out a pandemic or other societal breakdown which left the mainland temporarily undesirable.
Looking at the pictures of the place, however, this doesn’t seem to be the type of structure that anyone would want to call home on a permanent basis. And can you imagine being there during a hurricane?
