This little bit of news from Jerking The Trigger has been a while in coming…
The PMAG 5 7.62 is an all polymer and extremely affordable alternative to metal AICS pattern magazines. It will work with the above Bolt Action Magazine Well or existing AICS bottom metal set ups. The capacity can be increased to 6 rounds with a simple follower modification.
The Ruger Scout Rifle, supposedly, uses an AICS-friendly magazine, so these should be a cheaper alternative to the godawfully expensive Ruger factory steel magazine, and a more reliable alternative to the affordable-but-questionably-reliable Ruger polymer magazine.
For those of you with the Ruger Scout, this might be an interesting compromise between the two choices of mag.

Yeah..I thought it would be too painful for me to watch, so I’ve kinda just ignored it. Gotta hand it to him though, thats a lot of guns to stick in one place.
Local news reports it’s a little over 7000; mostly stolen so far from what I hear.
It’s reported that they are working to contact the rightful owners, though, how, I have no idea since there is no registration requirement for long guns. They may be tapping local FFLs to run the serials to see who originally bought them? But how would they know where and who sold them originally?
I would expect them to at least check local/county/state theft reports, to try to match up numbers, or descriptions at least.
I’d expect that a lot of them will never be matched to owners, for various reasons. Expect an auction at some point!
This is either priceless or anti southern slam journalism. The author quotes neighbor “Rusty Fender”.
I would imagine it was anti-press tomfoolery. The guy was asked his name and probably decided to have some fun….Rusty Fender, Moe DeLawn, Barb Dwyer, Dick Hertz, Buster Hyman, etc, etc, are staples on classroom signup sheets everywhere.
