Neither. Its a semi-auto two-stamp – SBR and suppressed. Just has the S-E-F fire control markings. Full auto would be nice but even a low impulse control guy lke me cant rationalize $30K+ for a full auto MP5.
They are long term investments. Back in 1996 I was offered 3 MP5’s with 10 mags for only $10,000.00, from a class III dealer. Just did not have the disposable income at the time.
Agreed. Its a dinosaur compared to the MP5. However, it’s got a couple things going for it…mostly the reliable and cheap magazines. I’m paying damn near $50 per mag for MP5, whereas Uzi mags are about 1/4 that. And the Uzi can run suppressed for quite a while without damage, whereas the MP5 needs a different angled locking piece to keep the rollers from punching out the sheet steel frame under back pressure. On the other hand, the MP5 is more elegant and efficient. Fortunately, I dont have to choose between the two 🙂 (or five)

Broadly speaking, for me, guns are a horrible investment because I very rarely can bring myself to sell them.
Very cool, I am super jealous.
I’m jealous too. The 9mm – meh, but in suppressed form, has to be very fun to shoot..
It is, but its not as quiet as the suppressed Uzi.
Well, it’s probably also 3-4 pounds lighter than the Uzi too.
Having played with both, albeit briefly, not so much a fan of the IMI klankenheimer machine pistol am I.

I need to lie down now.
I’ll be in my bunk…
