If “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie, then you have to admit….”Boondock Saints” is a St Patricks Day flick.
And a pre-DarylDixon Norman Reedus!

On St Patty’s day there are 2 mandatory movies to watch for real men of heritage..
The Quiet Man and the Boondock Saints.
They juxtapose the 2 truths: Quiet violence and Fuck You Violence.
If you added “Drunken Violence” you’d have the trinity of Irish Violence.
Gold.
Never forget, IT’S A MOVIE ffs! It was scripted and acted, it’s not real and cannot be used as a substitute for life experience.
If you’ve ever seen the excellent Steve McQueen movie Bullitt, and then seen the documentary which explained how many of the memorable scenes were engineered (example: shotgun blast hits character, who is thrown backwards… done by having the actor wear a rugged vest connected to a hidden wire which was pulled by a TEAM of hidden assistants), you’d no longer see movies as anything to be confused with possible reality. They’re a rigged card game designed to take your money and play with your head.

Where was there anything in the post indicating that anyone was pushing these movies as depictions of real life? I’m not seeing it….
Die Hard is a Christmas movie because everthing in it depends on Christmas. The only non-holiday aspect was the terrorists.
I could explain it a lot better, but no one really cares.
Another Boondock Saints sequel in the works too!
Like Zoolander 2, Boondocks Saints 2 – All Saints Day, had one scene that made it worthwhile.
St Pat ‘s Day if your sitting around watching a movie instead of embracing the culture you have missed the point. Might as well just drink crap green beer alone or you could get to a Irish Society and learn a song, listen to the pipes, hear a story or just go to a corned beef and cabbage dinner.
