Thanksgiving sales

Happy Thanksgiving. When you’re giving thanks don’t forget to take a moment and thank yourself. After all, you absolutely coudn’t have done it without you.

So, now that thats out of the way, lets talk Black Friday Friday Of Color sales. Your fastest and most prolific place to find them will be on Reddit. r/gundeals is where you’re gonna wanna spend your time (and money…youve been warned.)

However, here are two I wanna point out while I have your tryptophan-addled attention:

Palmetto is at it again with the deal on MP5 magazines.I bought ten of these last time and they were all MKE manufacture, which is apparently a good manufacture. (Yes, I know the history of MKE…the usual “build it for our military in our country and then when the contract is over we’ll take over the factory and make them ourselves”)I’ve got three MP5 clones so I can always use some quality mags, but I’ll be danged if I’m gonna buy a dozen OEM HK mags when they clock in at around $70@. They really do hate me and think I suck. So…ten more from this deal to put back in the Deep Sleep for Der Tag.

Next up: how does major manufacturer 9mm ammo sound for $190/1000 and free shipping? That catch your attention? Yeah, me too. Limit one per customer from the guys at Cheapammo.com . Same story on Fiocchi .223…$375/1000 with free shipping. Sale starts at 9am EST Friday. Snooze and you lose. They did a similar sale last Thanksgiving, as you may recall, and your buddy Zero made sure to get some. Glad I did because this stuff never goes down in price or down in demand. Can’t be too thin, to rich, or too well-stocked.

Friday of Color is, effectively, here and it’s time to be strategic. Remember: amateurs talk tactics, the pros talk logistics.

  1. Concur. “Whatever you pay today is surely cheaper than what must be paid later on”. “Bird in the hand, versus bird in the bush”. Folks can just run their own parallel strategic shopping operations during the holiday distractions. Whilst the normies are buying those giant tins of popcorn off of the pallets, you can be shopping for best deals on things actually needed during dark spicy times. Leverage some of that “O.P.M.” – other people’s money, credit to your advantage. Despite interest on balance carried, if one is disciplined and pays off balances quickly, it can be a useful tool. I prefer having that crate in my house in my possession with only a paper bill to leisurely pay later, rather than sideline sitting wringing hands missing out on deals or a timely ability to obtained something. History students can understand how the window of opportunity can slam shut quickly without notice during spicy. Conduct your own build up, something is coming. Stay frosty.

  2. Be careful with those sites that have ammo at “too good to be true” prices. If they don’t have a storefront and only accept Zelle or cryptos – RUN.

MidwayUSA has OEM Glock 9mm complete frame kits for $45.00.

  3. I’m not gonna buy a Maserati and put 7-11 87 octane gas in it.
If i can’t afford the proper gas perhaps i shouldn’t get the Maserati.

I only buy OEM, I learned that 25yrs ago.

    • Not a bad philosophy, just remember though that sometimes it isn’t about what you prefer but more about what can be had. Sometimes they’re out of 91 octane, but you still gotta get home.

Besides, who makes “OEM” AR or AK mags any more? And we’ve all had OEM stuff be bad right outta the box. That’s why warranties exist, cuz nothing’s perfect, and everything breaks.

  4. Thanks for the “heads-up” on this deal. I ordered at 9:03am and didn’t get a confirmation until last night. Thought for sure I had missed out. But now
    it’s scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
    Cheers
