Alright, I’m not too upset. They still have the small single-serve pop-top cans so I guess that’s what I’ll be socking away in the bunker. Sure, I’m disappointed but, hey, life goes on.
Dammit.
I’m really disappointed in the pop-top/pull tab cans. The shelf life on those are nothing compared to the regular sealed or even mylar pouched singles. I just recently had to throw out seven cans of hormel chili, peaches, ravioli and chunky soup that were barely a year past the ‘best by date’. Every single one had leaks around the pull tab ‘seal’.
I feel your pain. When the Bush’s Beans company stopped making their chili I wanted to cry. It was *really* good.

Check on ebay? Since you’re staying off Craigslist?
Actually, I just got outbid for one on eBay.
You know, when you elect to keep the two Harddigg cases full of single-serving Hormel CBH and give up the Ferrari behind Door Number One, you’re going to wish you’d gotten into rehab sooner.
Just sayin’.
CZ,
I want to say “thanks” for the recommend on the Hormel Roast Beef Hash, I had never tried this before and saw it last night on the tuna aisle and said to the wife, “Hey, CZ was looking for this stuff the other day on his blog, gonna grab a can.” I made it this morning with eggs and wow, this is a new favorite.
Awesome!
Hope you get this, since this is an old post. But I didn’t know how else to contact you. Any who. Just found this in my in box. Thought it was interesting enough to pass along.
