I was in the service, overseas, when he won the election. I’ve served under 2 presidents that I had to remind myself that I must respect the office not necessarily the man (Carter and Clinton). I was sitting in the Rod & Gun Club overseas when the US Navy explained “Peace Through Superior Firepower” to the Libyans.
Too bad neither of the weapons he’s carrying are American weapons. And while I like Reagan, he certainly wasn’t the be all and end all, even then. And he certainly isn’t what we need now. I’d like someone closer to the founders, a la, Ron Paul. That’s why we’re so screwed.
