  1. Quite cool, though the placement of the shotgun trigger is a big fail in my opinion, it should be reasonably simple to link the trigger mechanism to a trigger up by the SMG trigger. Also, it should be possible to build it with a semi auto shotgun part.
Except for those two really minor issues and the bloody NFA, really cool gun.

  2. Sweet mother of God, I think I’ve pegged my geekmeter! A little clunky in the “retro” configuration, but with the intended 10mm explosive tip caseless standard light armor piercing ammo and 99 round capacity I can accept clunky. You have brought me joy, Zero.

  3. Simon, it is a live firing mock up of a Science Fiction movie gun. The shotgun portion in the movie “Aliens” was a greanade launcher. A pump grenade launcher. It is correct to the movie and they did a outstanding job on it. Where they placed the trigger was also right on for the movie. I am sure the next time the prop masters for a movie want your expert opinion, they’ll hit you up on here for it.

  4. The original intent was to build them for sale. Even as an expensive gun it would find a market. When I ran a commercial indoor shooting range I was talking to a couple of people who were trying to make the parts needed for building replicas. It would be a real cool rental gun at a range. Not at all practical but damn well a lot of fun.

  5. Ok, if its correct in regards to the movie i change my opinion to just “awesome”!
I figured that they were cutting corners on the replica. Havent seen Aliens for more than fifteen years and never seen the whole movie.

  6. Note to Peacekeeper: IIRC, the guys who make the USAS-12 full-rock 12-gauge have also developed a grenade that will work in it. Which means it would work in this, too.
