Gun, weapons parts found buried in Arlington
A gun and weapons parts were found buried Wednesday morning in North Arlington and police and FBI agents are investigating the discovery, officials said.
Utility workers digging near an overpass of I-66 on Patrick Henry Drive found the gun and parts inside PVC pipe about 11 a.m., said Det. Crystal Nosal, an Arlington police spokeswoman. Police and FBI agents were called to the scene and investigated for hours.
You know, if you’re gonna hide your stuff like that you gotta take into account this sort of thing.
Wonder if perhaps there were a few ‘extra’ parts in there to make a lovely little off-paper Class III and thats why the feebies are involved.
I would love to see pictures of the cache and see a followup if anyone comes to claim it.
who knows who it belongs to they maybe dead now….
if the individual employed Opsec, they’ll be scratching their heads over the discovery for years to come… should the owner attempt to reclaim his goods, he’ll be a marked man -”extra” parts making him all the more so….
hmmm….gotta really watch where you place your caches!
your friend,

Actually, it was several AR-15′s & mags, as well as several handguns, .40 caliber, with more than 500 rounds per weapon. Additionally, in the tube was a list of 15 other spots, in cryptic code, listing locations and cache contents. No one has been able to decipher the list yet, and, the cache discovered by the workers was listed on the sheet at “66 wall.”
Oh man, this sounds better and better all along. Thanks for the info.
Very interesting. You can bet if that were my cache, I’d be hurrying to relocate the contents of those 15 other sites before my code was deciphered.
Problem is, now theyre going to be looking for guys out digging holes in the ground because they think thats exactly what the cache owner(s) will do.
